St. Patrick’s Day Parades

Slidell's 50th St. Patrick's Day Parade
Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 1 p.m.

Slidell celebrates throughout Olde Towne with its 50th annual parade of floats, marching groups, bands and more. Bring shopping baskets and bags, because some 40 floats will be throwing the usual beads and trinkets, but also, thousands of heads of cabbage, onions, potatoes, celery and carrots--everything for an Irish stew.

The Covington Celtic Club marches through the historic St. John District in downtown Covington passing out green, white and orange paper and silk flowers and other Irish-themed throws, and parade-goers will see bagpipers and marching groups in this small, hometown parade. A block party follows at parade's end, at the corner of Rutland and New Hampshire Streets.
