Spring into Fun: Easter Egg Hunts, Bunny Pics & Play Days

Peter Cottontail will be hopping all over St. Tammany Parish this month, posing for cameras and filling baskets with egg-shaped goodies. From hiding eggs to snapping selfies, the Easter Bunny is making the rounds.

April 5

  • Candy Bank Pics with the Easter Bunny: 1 p.m.-4 p.m.  - Come meet Peter Cottontail at The Candy Bank's annual fun event in the adorable, old-fashioned candy store. Free to enter, $25 for a 4"x6" professional photo to take home. No appointment necessary.

 

April 5, 6, 12 & 13

  • Zoo 2 U Easter Eggstravaganza: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Zoo 2 U in Folsom hosts its annual spring event with animal encounters, pony rides, bounce houses and more. $25 (cash only at gate); kids 12 mos. and under, free.


April 6

  • Spring Family Fest, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. -  Join the Children’s Museum of St. Tammany for Spring Family Fest! Bring your basket to collect eggs at each activity inside the museum, including hands-on STEM projects, arts and crafts. Snap a photo with the Easter Bunny and keep an eye out for golden eggs with special prizes. Tickets are $20 per person over 12 months old, with member discounts available at cmstkids.org. April 12

 

  • Pancakes with the Easter Bunny, 8 a.m.-11 a.m. -  Start your Saturday with fluffy pancakes and a visit from the Easter Bunny at Fontainebleau High. The Northshore-Mandeville Kiwanis Club serves up an eggs-tra fun morning with breakfast, bunny pics, crafts, inflatables, and even a fire truck. Breakfast is $7 a person or $20 per family.  

 

  • Eggstravaganza at Fontainebleau, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. -  Fontainebleau State Park’s annual egg hunt hops over to the new all-inclusive playground this year! The morning includes treats, fun activities, bunny photos, and an egg hunt for kids 10 and under. Bring a basket and arrive early—hunt starts at 10 sharp! Park entry is $3 per person; free for kids under 4 and seniors 62+.

  • Easter Egg-Stravaganza, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Aldersgate United Methodist Church invites families to join a day of egg hunts by age group, crafts, games, face painting, and Easter Bunny selfies. With food and drinks for sale by the Men’s Club and more than 500 egg hunters expected, it’s a lively neighborhood celebration. Free to attend; non-perishable food donations welcome for the Blessing Box.

 

  • Pearl River Easter Egg Hunt, starts at 10 a.m. -  The Town of Pearl River hosts its 16th annual spring celebration at the playground with egg hunts for ages 1–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9 and up. After the hunt, families can enjoy food and drinks, lawn games, and the town’s new playground. It’s a fun, free event made for the local community.

April 13

  • Picnic in the Park and Spring Egg Hunt, 1-4 p.m. - This free, family-friendly event includes egg hunts for ages 1–9, with separate times for each age group starting at 2 p.m. Bring a basket and enjoy food trucks, vendors, live music, and photos with Peter Cottontail. Registration by age group is required for the egg hunts at pelicanpark.recdesk.com. Free.

 

April 18

  • Northshore Social Scene Bunny Bash, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - ZA Ranch hosts this fun Easter egg hunt in a beautiful setting, with bunny photo ops, kids’ activities, food trucks and local vendors. Z.A. Ranch is a new event and performance venue—and Airbnb lodging—set in a serene location just 15 minutes from downtown Covington. Free.

April 19

  • Covington Easter Extravaganza, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Bring the kiddos to the Covington Trailhead for the town's all-ages event features an egg hunt, face painting and craft activities, and until 1:00 p.m., the Kiwanis Youth Wellness Fair. Free.

 

  • Odelia Easter Tea, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Celebrate the season at Odelia Café. Snap a photo with the Easter Bunny and enjoy signature tea offerings, including a special Easter High Tea. Champagne, Easter cocktails, and coffee drinks additional charge. $60 adult, $50 child (+ tax/tip).
