Visit The Northshore is proud to announce that Vice President of Sales Tanya Leader has been honored with the Southeast Tourism Society’s Shooting Stars Award, recognizing visionaries shaping tomorrow’s travel landscape.
Leader has dedicated 25 years to Visit The Northshore, playing an integral role in growing St. Tammany Parish as a destination for meetings, group travel and leisure visitors. Throughout her career, she has built lasting relationships with tourism partners locally, nationally and internationally while championing the people and experiences that make St. Tammany a welcoming destination.
Her work has helped expand St. Tammany’s reach in international markets, introducing the destination to new audiences and helping bring international visitors to the parish. Through sales missions, industry partnerships, and relationships with tour operators and travel professionals, Leader has helped position St. Tammany as an easy addition to Louisiana and New Orleans itineraries.
Leader has also developed and led Visit The Northshore’s Shore and Tell program, which gives local hospitality partners firsthand knowledge of the destination. The program connects participants with St. Tammany attractions, restaurants, accommodations, and experiences, helping those on the front lines of hospitality become stronger ambassadors for the parish.
Beyond her work at Visit The Northshore, Leader is an active member of Mid-South Women in Tourism (MSWIT), connecting with and supporting fellow women professionals throughout the travel and tourism industry.
The Shooting Stars Award celebrates tourism professionals whose leadership, innovation, and commitment are helping shape the future of travel across the Southeast. After 25 years with Visit The Northshore, Leader continues to strengthen St. Tammany’s tourism industry, build meaningful partnerships, and introduce new visitors to the destination.
