St. Tammany Parish’s culinary scene is receiving international recognition as Feliciana Bistrôt & Bar, located at 405 E. Gibson St. in downtown Covington, has officially been named a MICHELIN Recommended restaurant in the prestigious MICHELIN Guide American South.
Announced during the MICHELIN Guide American South Ceremony on October 21, 2026, the distinction recognizes restaurants for their quality cooking and memorable dining experiences. Feliciana joins a distinguished selection of restaurants recognized by the internationally respected guide.
“MICHELIN’s recognition of Feliciana is an extraordinary moment for both the restaurant and our entire Northshore culinary community. We have long known that some of Louisiana’s most memorable dining experiences can be found right here in St. Tammany Parish, where exceptional talent, creativity, and genuine hospitality come together. To see that excellence recognized on an international stage is tremendously exciting. We congratulate the entire Feliciana team on this well-deserved distinction and look forward to the new visitors this recognition will inspire to discover the remarkable culinary experiences waiting for them on Louisiana’s Northshore,” said Donna O’Daniels, President and CEO of Visit The Northshore.
Part of BRG Hospitality, the restaurant group led by Chef John Besh and Octavio Mantilla, Feliciana combines classic French bistro traditions with locally sourced ingredients and Louisiana flavors. The restaurant occupies the former Star Theater in downtown Covington and shares the building with Paradise Lounge, an upstairs cocktail destination.
Leading Feliciana’s kitchen is Chef Patrick Teagle, whose culinary journey began after a career change from banking. A graduate of the New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute, Teagle refined his skills at acclaimed New Orleans restaurants, including Domenica and Restaurant August, before taking the helm at Feliciana.
Teagle was featured in Visit The Northshore’s Fall 2026–Winter 2027 Visitor Guide, where he shared his passion for cooking and connecting with the Northshore community.
Feliciana’s recognition further highlights St. Tammany Parish as a growing culinary destination, offering visitors everything from chef-driven restaurants and waterfront dining to beloved local favorites.
