Founded in 1965, this 200+ member Krewe is one of the oldest in St. Tammany. Keeping the identity of King Zeus and the parade theme a secret until parade night, members ride on floats, trucks and horses interspersed with marching bands. The 59th parade will roll on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 6 p.m.

The parade begins at the intersection of N. Columbia St. and Jefferson Ave., following Columbia south until it reaches East Boston St., where it will turn west. The parade then goes southwest on Jefferson Ave. At the intersection of S. Jefferson and East 15th Ave., the krewe will turn northwest and follow 15th St. On South Tyler, the parade turns northeast and proceeds to West 23rd Ave. It turns southeast and ventures back down to North Jefferson Ave. Rolling back down Boston, it turns north onto Columbia, ending where it began at the intersection of North Columbia and Jefferson Ave.

About Mystic Krewe of Olympia
The Mystic Krewe of Olympia was founded in 1965 by a group of friends active the local community who were eager to bring a "New Orleans style" parade to the Northshore for the benefit of rural residents who may have never traveled to New Orleans to witness such a parade. Their first ball was held in 1966 in St. Paul School's fieldhouse, where the queen, maids and ladies-in-waiting were announced. Their identities are kept secret until announced in the ball program.

The Board of Directors of The Mystic Krewe of Olympia created a philanthropic arm of the organization, the MKO Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to raise financial support for our community’s first responders and other local non-profits in the Covington area. Their Blue Jeans Ball & Battle of the Bands has raised over $50,000+ for these local beneficiaries.
